Originally from New Jersey, Deborah has lived in Sweden for over forty years. In addition to singing and producing recordings she has been a high school choir director and has taught music, voice and English in Västerås. Musical influences have been Enya, Judy Collins, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and Leontyne Price, as well as Stravinsky, Bach, Verdi and Puccini.

Deborah did 11 Christmas sing-along/solo shows in December 2022 and for summer 2023 another tour of 10 shows is scheduled. During the pandemic summer of 2020 the Town of Västerås sponsored Deborah Henriksson's series of 20 outdoor concerts for senior facilities and nursing homes in lockdown. Deborah has performed in Sweden, the U.S., Ireland, the UK, with radioplay in Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries.

Awards:

Deborah's album NEAR AND FAR was a Gold Medal Winner in the prestigious Global Music Awards in 2018 and a Silver Medal Winner in 2019 for her single, BECAUSE. Deborah's single LET GO won Country Song of the Year 2020 in the New York based LDM Radio Music Awards. Other awards are from The Fair Play Country Music Red Carpet Music Awards 2020, Netherlands. The song BECAUSE was a finalist in Swedish Radio P4 Nästa P4 Västmanland in 2019.
